VIA FERRATA Gerlosstein
Via Ferrata Gerlosstein in the Zillertal
A dream of a via ferrata!
The Gerlossteinwand offers decent alpine character, when you arrive at the top, the summit cross and a tremendous view await you as a reward!
First you have to go to the mountain station of the Gerlosstein gondola lift, then it's about a 40-minute walk to the start of the Gerlosstein wall. This alpine via ferrata is beautifully laid out and runs up the entire wall - approx. 300 meters in altitude! Once at the top, you stand on the summit plateau and have a sensational view of the Zillertal. The climb is not that difficult to climb, but the length and exposure in the steep face make the tour a challenging mountain experience!
